Arran Art Gallery is for people from all over the world that have an affinity with the beautiful Isle of Arran.

Arran is a beautiful island off the west coast of Scotland with breathtaking mountain and coastal scenery.

There are rugged granite mountain peaks in the north, green rolling hills in the south, pretty villages and stunning ever changing coastal views around every corner. With a stunning natural environment, the island is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with outstanding wildlife, flora, fauna, geology, archaeology and history.

In contrast to the most of Scotland, the island is blessed with a mild maritime climate due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream, making it an ideal destination for year round breaks.

Local Amenities

When visiting the gallery, why not combine this with a walk to the spectacular Glenasdale Falls?  This is a pleasant one-hour round hike up the glen with one steep section but the views at the top make it worthwhile.

Our village is self-contained with independent shops for everyday essentials, including ‘Bay Kitchen & Stores’ at the north end of the village, a grocers and a good place to read the paper with a coffee and pastry; and there are also some excellent places to eat and drink close to the gallery, including The Shore Arran, MOST at Eden Lodge, The Burlington Hotel,  The Coffee Pot and the Lamlash Bay Hotel.  We also recommend a visit to the newly established Lagg Distillery for lunch and a whisky tour (10 miles south of Whiting Bay).
