I am a Scottish artist living in Glasgow. I create images as a visual memory of my surroundings and environment. As music is a memory key, painting, for me, serves the same purpose.

My work is an investigation into colour, composition and light whether it’s architectural or figurative. The landscapes and cityscapes are mainly objective and go through an editing process of sketches and photos before arriving at the finished piece.
I use this process to understand and regain any emotional attachment I’ve had with a certain place. Also, to remind me where I’ve been and hopefully where I’m going.
I studied fine art at the Ontario College of Art, Toronto, 1994 -96.  And the Glasgow School of Art, 1997-2001.
